In the 1970s Remo Bianco’s art assumed a performative character. In 1972 he wrote and acted in Sadico Mistico Elementare (Sadist Mystic Elementary) which took place, with the choreography of his sister Lyda, at the Teatro Angelicum in Milan. Yet even prior to this his exhibitions had included performers (Impronte viventi [Living Imprints], 1964, Galleria del Cavallino, Venice) and the involvement of spectators, such as the exhibition at Galleria Vismara, Milan, 1964, in which Bianco distributed an edible 3D work to the visitors.
